More Than Basketball

In the tumultuous year that was 2020, the world grappled with its fair share of pain, fear, and isolation due to the global pandemic, which prompted widespread shutdowns and social restrictions. Throughout these trying times, individuals from Black and brown communities, myself included, continued our unwavering advocacy for equal rights and social justice. In unity with our athletes, who shared this unwavering commitment, we collectively took action by generously contributing our earnings to support various charitable causes, symbolizing our dedication to effecting positive change in the face of adversity.

As the leader in the realm of art direction, I embarked on creating a platform for our players to articulate their concerns and champion the cause of justice. I also took on the task of crafting the logo for "Sky Takes Actions," providing a conduit for players who sought to make meaningful contributions. The resulting shirts were put up for auction, and the proceeds exceeded our expectations, surpassing twenty-four thousand dollars in donations for the respected charity represented.
